Arthur F. Bell, Jr., CPA

Arthur F. Bell, Jr., CPA, is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University and has been the Managing Member of the Firm since 1974. Mr. Bell has spent much of his career involved in the commodities and hedge fund industry as a regulatory, tax, audit and business advisor.

Arthur F. Bell, Jr. is a frequent speaker at worldwide conferences sponsored by leading industry associations and trade groups. Some of his speaking engagements include presenting a program on international investment fund operations at the Managed Funds Association conference in Miami, Florida February 8, 2005; speaking at the Executive Forum's second annual "Leadership in the Private Capital Markets," forum held November 15, 2005 in New York City; presenting "Hedge Fund Administration" to the SEC on May 8, 2006; speaking at the JP Morgan Alternative Investments summit in Miami, Florida, January 24-26, 2007; speaking at State Street Corporation's Risk and Analytics Client Forum on April 24, 2007 in New York City; and most recently meeting with the Managed Funds Association Board of Directors and Federal Reserve Chairman to answer questions regarding hedgefund activity in the financial markets.

Arthur F. Bell, Jr. currently serves on the Managed Funds Association (MFA) Board of Directors. He was a Director and Treasurer of the MFA and a member of its Executive Committee from 1994 through 1997, and was re-elected in October 2001.  Arthur was a member of the Government Relations Committee of the MFA for 8 years through October 2001 and was a member of the CFTC's Global Markets Advisory Committee. He is also a member of the Futures Industry Association Editorial Advisory Board, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Pension Research Accounting Group (PRAG) based in London, the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA) also based in London, a contributing editor to Futures International Law Letter and is on numerous industry committees and working groups.
